Calculate pixels per inch, physical panel dimensions and pixel pitch from resolution and diagonal size. The viewing section estimates pixels per visual degree and the distance beyond which one pixel falls below the selected visual-acuity angle.
“Retina distance” is a geometric threshold, not a guarantee that every person will stop seeing display structure. Vision, contrast, subpixel layout, anti-aliasing, content, panel technology and individual sensitivity all affect perception.
